People Are Distancing Themselves From the Notion of Commitment

Commitment is becoming an issue for people. We’ve been raised by the ideal that commitment is something of value. It’s something that’s founded the basis of the American family. People in their lives have commitment in order to maintain their lives and the roles that they play. Someone can only hold onto their lifestyle if it’s solidified in commitment. It’s a factor that multiplies the exponential force of stability.

A stable lifestyle is the goal of the average American. It’s something that everyone wants. That’s what we’ve all been raised to believe. But somehow, people are starting to break away from the norm. They’re starting to rebel against the things they’ve been taught and try new things out.

It’s a good idea to support experimentation if this type of thing is becoming a trend. Seeing as how people are going to be going all over the place with new ideas that have had limited exposure at this point, there has to be some room for people to breathe and forgive others when mistakes are made.

The lifestyle of an experimentalist is very scientific. It comes with its factors, and those factors lead to deductions about wins and losses. Scientists are known to be the type of people who watch things go by the wayside all the time. Throwing one idea in and other idea out by proving that one works and another doesn’t.

Social experimentation can be very romantic at times. You could be with one person at one point in time, and then cheat on them for some reason, and then you’re left with the impression that your commitment is lacking on one end. Like it’s more about how much action you’re getting than how much one person matters to you. That’s what it’s like lacking commitment, it’s an emotional ditch that you’re digging for people. Kind of like a television show.

Televised commitment is somewhat of a viewership issue. Romantic commitment is measured in time. That’s not to say that watching television isn’t romantic. There are all kinds of scenes that feature romance between a man and a woman. But there’s room for that to expand all across the board. There could be entire shows dedicated to romantic escapades, or even romances between gays to highlight newer forms of romance.

The issue with gay rights is that it’s edgy. There’s a lot of opponents to the movement. It goes against traditional values. Not in the sense of passion, which some do explore naturally, but in the sense that when you’re watching it on tv, it’s not the same thing as when you’re watching a man and a woman for some reason. It has a different kind of appeal, one that has something different going on. It’s more flamboyant and expressive of the passions that people have. Maybe leading to the conclusion that those gay thoughts that float around in some’s minds are either explored by some or left to the privacy of the mind. For the more passionate gays, there are plenty of instances where gay people have been very successful in their lives and on tv. To further the movement, it just takes knowing the right way to approach it, so that gay people on television aren’t just relegated to a gay audience, but are coming out into the mainstream as equals.

It’s another matter of commitment. One where there is a matter of social acceptance for people to push towards their lifestyles of choice. Letting yourself express yourself and the thoughts that you have, the passions you have to explore. Commitment to yourself and the way that you feel about the actions that you commit yourself towards. Letting yourself experiment around with things and find out what’s right for you.
