Social Media Influencers Are Deeper Than The Surface

Social media influencers are in charge of setting all kinds of trends. They work from a top-down system that resembles trickle-down economics. Their perspectives on things are meant to stabilize trends that are out-of-balance in the world. Sometimes, their trendsetting reaches beyond what a traditional trend is.

A lot of social media influencers are activists for trends that include diversity and human rights. They’re very political. They will say things to keep rights movements going. Women’s rights, a popular movement, is often included. It’s kind of suspicious, though, because all kinds of things come out of social media. Women’s rights is a topic that’s less likely to be as controversial though, as some of the other things that influencers advocate for.

The more edgy things get, the harder it is to listen. That’s where the influencers come in. They try to normalize trends and make them into parts of daily life. It’s like they’ll come up with something to say about transexual rights and make it into such a big thing that the people who’re cross-dressing feel a lot more enabled, like they should undergo large amounts of surgery.

In other world, social media is an enabler. It’s something that lets a lot of people’s voices be more than just heard. It makes it so that there are all kinds of voices in the mainstream that people will look up to and take influence from. They come from all kinds of backgrounds and have various beliefs. It’s important to analyze who’s doing the talking before listening, though.
