Tonga Boat People

 

Tonka Boat People are really Tonga Boat People from Tongli, China. In Tongli, there are waterways on the streets. Some people boat down them on their riverboats. There are other kinds of boat people in famous cities with waterways like Venice, Italy.

Some towns in China with waterways on the streets are called Water Towns. Zhouzhuang Water Town in Jiangsu Province, Tongli Water Town by Taihu Lake, a name coming close to Lake Tahoe in California, but with the names in reverse order. Water flows through the canals of Venice in order to manifest transportation opportunities. The largest river in Venice is known as the Grand Canal.

The boats that are common in the Eastern Hemisphere for transportation are also present in America. People will take water taxis down waterways to reach their destination. Steamboats were once a popular form of transportation in America.
